Maharashtra Mukhyamantri Annapurna Yojana : – Three cylinders per year free in Chief Minister’s Annapurna Yojana; Order issued by Food and Civil Supplies Department

The Food and Civil Supplies Department on Tuesday released the government decision of the ‘Mukhya Mantri Annapurna Yojana‘, which provides three free cooking cylinders per year to the families of the Chief Minister’s ‘Mazi Ladki Bahin’ scheme and the beneficiaries of the Prime Minister Ujjwala Gas Yojana.


The Chief Minister had announced Annapurna Yojana while presenting the supplementary budget in the recently concluded legislative session. According to this scheme, Finance Minister Ajit Pawar had announced that 52 lakh 16 thousand 412 eligible beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana in the state would be given three gas cylinders free of charge every year.

Eligible beneficiaries of ‘Chief Minister Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana’ have been included in this scheme. One beneficiary per family (as per ration card) will be eligible for the scheme. This benefit will be given to gas holders with gas cylinders of 14.2 kg weight.

Regular distribution of gas cylinders to the beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana is done through oil companies. 3 free cylinders to be given under Chief Minister Annapurna Yojana will also be distributed through oil companies.

Deposit amount in bank account

Under the Ujjwala Yojana, a grant of Rs 300 is credited to the beneficiary’s bank account by the Centre. Now the state government will give 530 rupees to the beneficiaries of Ujjwala gas scheme. Also, the government will deposit Rs 830 per cylinder in the bank accounts of the families of the beneficiaries of the Chief Minister Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana.

Maharashtra Mukhyamantri Yojana-Eligibility Criteria

• Permanent Residence: The applicant must be a permanent resident of Maharashtra.
• Category: The candidate should belong to the ST (Scheduled Tribes), SC (Scheduled Castes), or EWS (Economically Weaker Sections) categories.
• Family Size: Only families with up to five members are eligible.
• Required Documents: Candidates must have all necessary documents ready during the registration process.
• Employment: No member of the beneficiary family should be working in a government job.
• Family Income: The family’s annual income must be less than Rs. 1.5 lakh.
